POEA Required Documents

The following documents are required from employers for proper accreditation with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) under the Department of Labor and Employment so that they can be allowed to legally recruit and hire Filipino Workers.

  1. Special Power of Attorney (SPA) in favor of EUREKA, duly authenticated by the Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at the Philippine Embassy in the country where workers are to be deployed.
  2. Demand Letter or Manpower Request addressed to EUREKA, specifying the number, categories and salary rates of workers required and other terms and conditions of employment, also authenticated as above.
  3. Proof of availability of visa.
  4. Photocopy of employer's business registration certificate, with English translation if written in a language other than English.
  5. Photocopy of passport of employer's representative signing the SPA and Demand Letter. If signed by a person other than the one appearing on the business registration certificate, a Special Power of Attorney authorizing such representative to sign for the registered owner should also be submitted.
  6. An Undertaking to the effect that your company will immediately repatriate or otherwise take care of your Filipino employees in the event of an outbreak of war or similar conflicts that may endanger their lives and necessitate their immediate evacuation, including their personal properties.
  7. Original authority to collect visa from the Embassy concerned issued by the employer in favor of EUREKA, if destination is Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries, otherwise, proof of availability of visa will suffice.
  8. Complete Company address indicating even the Building No., Street No., and Name of Street, etc. as may be applicable.
  9. Documents which POEA may required in addition to the above (to be advised while accreditation is under process).

NOTE: Forms for items 1 and 6 are available at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate nearest your place. The SPA is a POEA-prescribed format and must be strictly followed to avoid being returned by POEA, which will obviously cause delays.
